Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Mixture

  • 200g chocolate (milk or dark, as preferred)
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup

Add-ins

  • 150g cornflakes

Instructions

  1. Melt the ingredients: In a heatproof bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water (double boiler), combine the chocolate, butter, and golden syrup. Stir continuously until completely smooth and melted.
  2. Mix with cornflakes: Remove the melted chocolate mixture from heat and gently fold in the cornflakes until all are evenly coated and well combined.
  3. Chill until set: Transfer the mixture into a lined baking tray or dish, spreading it out evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm and set. Cut into bars or squares before serving.

Notes

  • Use milk or dark chocolate depending on desired sweetness.
  • Golden syrup can be substituted with light corn syrup or honey if unavailable.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of sea salt to the melted chocolate mix.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
