Salmon Patties
- 1 can (14.75 oz) canned salmon, drained and flaked
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or Greek yogurt (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil for frying
- Prepare the Salmon Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the drained and flaked canned salmon with the egg, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion if using, mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
