Beef Mixture
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 sweet yellow onion, diced
- 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon ground pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
Sliders
- 24 slider rolls
- 6 ounces provolone cheese, thinly sliced
Garlic Butter Topping
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Cook Beef and Vegetables: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, diced onion, and diced green bell pepper. Cook, breaking the meat apart with a spatula, for 8-10 minutes or until fully cooked. Drain excess fat thoroughly.
- Season and Mix: Stir in garlic powder, salt, ground pepper, and onion powder into the beef mixture. Blend in the softened cream cheese until thoroughly combined and creamy.
- Assemble Sliders: Slice the slider rolls horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Evenly spread the beef mixture over the bottom rolls. Layer the provolone cheese slices on top, then cover with the top roll halves to form sandwiches.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: Mix melted butter and garlic salt together. Cut between the assembled sliders to separate them slightly, then brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the tops.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese has melted.
Notes
- Drain the cooked beef mixture well to prevent soggy sliders.
- Use softened cream cheese to easily incorporate it into the beef mixture.
- For extra flavor, you can add sliced mushrooms or substitute provolone with mozzarella or American cheese.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture generously for a more flavorful crust on top.
- Sliders can be assembled a few hours ahead and baked just before serving.
